The cuvée

Terrubi was born of a wish to make a fresh, delicious red to drink without ceremony, far from the usual conventions of Provence reds.

Here, our cellar master sought delicacy rather than power.

An approach that lets the fruit express itself in all its freshness, without ever constraining it.

Terrubi is a wine we love because it doesn’t try to impress. Enjoy it chilled, without fuss, as an aperitif, with a summer barbecue, or simply because you feel like it.

Light at first sight, it still has enough substance to surprise anyone expecting a red without depth.

Terroir

The plot

The organically farmed IGP Var plots for the Terrubi cuvée are located…… on the estate.

The soil is clay-limestone. The clay holds just enough moisture for the vines not to suffer, while the limestone drains away any excess.

It is this contrasting balance in the terroir that perfectly regulates the moisture in the soil, giving the wine its freshness and that saline, mineral signature so characteristic of Provence Verte.

Our terroir rests on the right balance of the elements that make it up.

For our part, we observe it, listen to it and work alongside it, so that it can give us the best of itself.

In the cellar

Winemaking & ageing

Our Terrubi cuvée, a blend of Cinsault and Syrah, is made by infusion, with very light extraction.

We carry out just one punch-down a day, known as “stabulation”, a method designed to preserve all the fruit without ever hardening the wine.

Aged in stainless steel vats, Terrubi favours freshness and aromatic purity over structure.
It is a red to drink chilled, almost like a winter rosé.

Light, but not without depth.
